                                                               PUFFY EYES

Sleepless, restless night, fluid retention, stress, production of tears is extreme it can put a strain on the eyes,Tiredness is another regular cause for puffy eyes.Well dont worry, there are various remedies you can to reduce puffiness...

There are several inexpensive home remedies for the treatment of puffy eyes:

1 CUCUMBER:Cucumbers aren't only deliciously cool and soothing to the touch, but their astringent properties cause blood vessels to constrict. Lean your head back, rest a slice on each closed eye, and relax for five to ten minutes while the cukes cure your puffiness.

2 EGG WHITES:Whip up 1 or 2 egg whites until stiff, and apply with a brush or soft cloth underneath your eyes. The skin will feel tighter and look less like puff pastry.

3 POTATO:Potato starch acts as an anti-inflammatory agent to ease irritated eyes. Peel one potato, then wash and dry it. Grate the potato as fine as possible, place the pulp in a clean cloth and fold and then remove them and place them on your eyelids for 15 minutes

4 COLD SPLASH:An easy and cool way to bring back your eyes to their normal appearance is to splash cold water directly on your eye area and the rest of your face. The cold temperature of the water is all you need to jumpstart the fluid circulation in your face.

5 TEA BAG PATCH:Two teabags moistened by cold water and patched on your puffy eyes for five to ten minutes can reinvigorate your eyes and hold off the puffiness.

6 DRINK WATER:Increase your intake of water throughout the day to help get rid of puffy eyes.8-10 glasses of water daily is the suggested amount to drink that will reduce water build-up and improve baggy eyes.

7 ICE CUBES:Wrap an ice cube in cloth and gently dab the eyes.

SALT:salt-intense foods can cause puffy eyes. However, salt by itself does the eyes good. Get rid of the puffy eyes by mixing 1/2 teaspoon salt into 1 quart warm water. Dip cotton balls into the solution, then lie down and apply pads to the eyelids. Rest in this position for at least ten minutes while keeping the pads in place.Your puffiness is gone

9 EYE MASSAGES:Simply use your middle finger to press the bone of the eye socket gently. Slide your finger in a circular motion from the area just below the brow and move it downwards to the bone of the eye socket in circular motion. It relaxes your eye muscles.

10 Spoons and Water:A glass of ice water and four serving spoons may provide the fastest, easiest and least expensive way to reduce eye puffiness.Chilling four spoons in ice water, and then placing one spoon over each eye. Allow the spoons to remain until they become warm--which usually takes several minutes--and then replace them with the other two spoons that have been chilling in the ice water. Repeat this treatment for about 10 minutes, or until the puffiness subsides.
MAKEUP REMEDIES FOR PUFFY EYES:
Upper Eye Puffiness: If the eye puffiness has happened in the upper eyelid area, consider using a dark eye shadow. Opt for two coordinating shades. Brush the dark shadow from the eyebrow down to the crease in the eyelid, followed with the lighter shade branching down from the crease to the eye lashes.
Under Eye Puffiness: Using a usual foundation can help conceal eye puffiness. If the swelling is seriously evident the foundation on the affected area should be a shade darker to the foundation used on the rest of the face. Look after your eyes to keep them healthy. Healthy eyes will help prevent the more grave conditions from happening.

  1. very useful tips above! thanks for the sharing! To treat my puffy eyes, I personally had a blepharoplasty Toronto procedure eight months ago. The treatment was very effective and safe. It made me look younger and more attractive. I warmly recommend it!

  2. Hi,
A healthy sleep habit is needed as your whole system, including your skin, needs 7-9 hours a night to repair any damage :)
